Central Area Main Drain Section-6

Description

Central area main drains is located between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The Main Out fall Drain (MOD) Extends from north of Baghdad to south of Basrah, (total length 565km), collecting the drainage water of Great Mussaiyab Irrigation Project. The estimated peak discharge is 15 m^3/s

Needs

According to the MoWR the Drain is completed and there is no need for changing the system. Operation and Maintenance are required. Opportunity to treat and re-use drainage water should be considered
