Houran-1

Description

Construction of earth fill dam on Wadi Horan in the western desert. Dam would be 650 meters in length, 14.0 meters in height, and would provide 4.9 Million CM of storage with an ungated concrete spillway and bottom outlet. Preliminary design complete.

This project would demonstrate to the people of the western desert that resources are distributed fairly, building trust and allegiance in this vast remote region is strategically important because this area borders Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
