Description
Needs
The Regulator Looks in A good condition, however Detailed Inspection and Evaluation by qualified consultants is required, In order to define the required maintenance and /or replacement and improvement works.
Objective
The regulator is constructed to withdraw water from Diyala river upstream Diyala Weir and divert the required discharges for irrigation into the combined head reach channel located on the left bank of Diyala river to irrigate an area of about 300 000 ha of orchards and cultivable lands within Diyala governorate. In addition of providing water for domestic use for all towns and villages within Diyala Governorate downstream the Diyala weir.
