Description
Needs
The maintenance works are to be carried out with Falujah Barrage specially the accumulation of sediments at the upstream of regulators no. 1 and 2. A new bathymetry survey is required for the river reaches upstream to evaluate the sediment accumulation
Objective
The scheme was constructed in 1985 to improve the water diversion by gravity from Euphrates River Upstream Falujah barrage via the combined channel and distribute it to the main canals of Abu Ghurayb, Radwaniyah, Youssifiyah, Latifiyah and Alexandria projects. Including de-silting works.
