Description
The barrage crosses the Shamiyah River. Rehabilitate weir to restore safe operations, raising upstream water levels and regulating discharge. There has been no maintanance to this Barrage during the last 10 years. Therefore the 6 radial gates need to be completely rehabilitated (resurface – paint and sandplasted) The navigation lock for this barrage is also not working which prohibits commerical traffic along the river. The barrage consists of electronically controlled radial gates, navigation pathway and fish ladder.
