Description
Construction of reregulating earth dam downstream from Dokan dam. Purpose of dam is for storage of water, agriculture, power generation, and flood control. Dam to be located 6km upstream of Arbil government. Upper level = 423m, storage level =415m, total height = 100m.
Needs
During the period 2020 – 2025 it is estimated that the additional energy demand will be 44152 GWh and the additional Power Demand 6021 MW.

Taq Taq Dam could contribute to cover up to additional hydropower energy demand and provide storage for irrigation
